Christian devotionals is to help people who follow Jesus Christ like you and me get our minds focused

Because if we can build a habit of daily thinking

and then living as our Savior would have us live, life will give him much more glory and be a better blessing

for us and for others.

We are looking at Romans chapter 9.

And yesterday we introduced Paul's new topic, even though it's not really new, it's flowing

out of all the work he's already done in Romans chapters 1 through 8.

But he brought up the issue of Israel, and specifically he was talking about the

nation of Israel in his day, which back then was very much a religious nation as much as it was a secular nation. It was governed by laws, it was governed by rulers,

but it was also governed by the law of God in many respects, though they had strayed far from it by adding tradition to it and things like that.
