Thanks for joining us for the Church of the City, New York podcast.

At the start of the year, we did a series called God Comes Where He's Wanted.

And honestly, the feedback's been overwhelming.

We have seen such an increase in hunger for prayer and the manifest presence of God in our church community.

So rather than switching to a new series, we thought we're just going to keep this going.

So we're about to start a six-week series leading up to Easter that is on Jesus' teaching about how to interact with God through prayer.

And we're simply calling this God comes where he's won at 2.0.

So I hope this stirs your faith even further and inspires you to seek God like never before.

Now let's get back to the podcast.

The teaching text for this evening is Matthew 6, 7 through 15.

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

Do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask him.

This then is how you should pray.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread,

and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.

This is the word of the Lord. Now, some of you were worried.

I'm about to teach the same talk as last week.

It's way worse than that.
