Thank you, David. Let's pray. That is our prayer, Lord. The sparks are there in most, I think, and we want you to fan them into a flame of zeal for your name and for the joy of the next

generation and the sparks are not there in some and we pray that you would

ignite them. Keep me faithful now to your word and guard me from error, guard me from any kind of attitude that would be distracting from the truth.

Perform your great purposes for truth 78 in these next minutes.

So we have a mission statement at desiring God that is long and unwieldy and nobody recommends

mission statements that are as long as ours because you can't remember it.

But I love it because most mission statements are short,

catchy, and vacuous.

And I don't like vacuous mission statements.

I like them long and laden with truth and even if they're not

memorable they are true and those of us are on the inside we we can live by

them. The last line says governed by, grounded in and saturated with the

infallible Christian scriptures. That's the last of four lines.

So we exist to be that,

grounded in, burned by, and saturated with the infallible Christian scriptures.

One of the reasons I said yes to this invitation is because I not only want to be that kind of

ministry I want to encourage others to be that kind of ministry and truth 78 is one of

those ministries and so I want to breathe on it and say do that. Let's go for it and I'd like to tell other people support that that's grounded in, governed by, saturated with,

the infallible Christian scriptures.

That's the only kind of ministry I'm interested in.
