Kaya and Sam as usual talking about the news that you might not know that happened this past week.

From going back to school and teaching unions and districts and parents working together to

police discipline records, election delays and some facial recognition news, NETA joins us again

to update us about developments around the current protests. And then I sit down and talk to

Zoe and Emma from Emilio, the nonprofit that allows families to communicate with incarcerated

populations that is a nonprofit in disrupting the space. My advice for this week is to go with a

love is so the internet is full of feedback. Sometimes a feedback is positive, sometimes a

feedback is negative. We are primed to let the negative feedback really sit with us and we sort

of internalize it. Not only do we need to not spend as much time taking all those views in from

the internet, but we also just need to go with a love is, right? Just like being in places where

So evidently a couple of seasons have started maybe more. My colleagues here on the pod have been

talking about it on our group text. I'm a little bit out of the loop. So I'm looking forward to hearing

what their perspectives are in terms of some of these seasons starting and some of the different

issues arising with the start. I think Kaya is going to kick us off in talking about this.

So I think the interesting thing that's happening in sports is all of these players who are

kind of reclaiming their power and telling these leagues, no, they don't think it's safe. You see

football players in the SEC, which is one of the most powerful college football conferences.
