Welcome to a very special episode of the podcast. I'm Kelly Raspberry Evans and I've got a couple of very special guests joining me today.

You know, February is Heart Health Month. We're putting the focus on Heart Health after my heart

scare last year suddenly I started paying attention because until until something

affects you you you're like oh that's somebody else's problem right but

the truth is that more women die from cardiovascular disease than all cancers

combined which is actually a very scary thought, right?

So today we're actually going to talk about a certain area of heart health because a lot of

times women experience you

know we we experience things that men don't often experience in their lives we go

through very different transitions like pregnancy men don't experience that or

menopause even though some people say there's a thing called

manopause. I don't know about that. But, you know, because of those hormonal changes in our bodies,

we face very different heart concerns than some men do and to talk about what can

happen to a woman's heart health during pregnancy we not only have a woman who

experienced that during her pregnancy.

We also have an OBGYN, Dr Omar Cabrera who's joining us,

who can give us from the medical standpoint,

from his perspective perspective as well as

a woman who's actually been through it so first we're going to welcome
