What's going on, everybody? Let's go. Let's get into it. Let's get on the clock with the last

positional preview of the 2026. Go Bird's NFL draft preview, of course, focusing on your

Philadelphia Eagles. And we've done all the positions

on the offensive side of the ball. Yesterday, we did linebacker, a position that, let's be honest,

as we talked about it on the pod, probably not going to use a high pick on, probably looking

for depth pieces there, potentially 2027 if they move on from Zach Bond, but linebacker,

one of the positions least likely to be

drafted early on. And when I initially did the order of how I wanted to do these, I had cornerback

last because I also think cornerback is very unlikely to be a first, second, or third round

pick. And when we talk about players here, we will talk about later round picks, fourth round,

fifth round, six round, they don't have a seventh round pick. So, you know, guys are going to go late,

right? But the more I went through each position, and you think about the future, and you think

about cap, like money, cap, money spent, and how much money they're spending at a certain position.

I do think there is an

argument for corner maybe being a higher pick than I initially did. And if you listen to the Daily

Pod, first of all, I love you. But if you listen to the Daily Pod, you know we've done different

parts where any SPN guy will have them taking a corner. Like what's his name? Avion Terrell out

of Clemson is a popular one that's been, is a popular corner that's been mocked to the Eagles. And when we've talked about on the Daily Pod, I've said, I just don't see it happening, right? They have Quinion, they have Cooper, they've signed Tariq Wullen. Like the top three spots are locked in. But, but here's what I will say. The logic for taking a corner, while it is not,

it would not be my first choice in the first round, the logic for taking a corner, I do think,

is a little more there than I once did. And let's talk through the logic of taking a corner in the

first round, potentially the second round, and then I think the third round is where you really are kind of a depth piece. Ideally, you would like to start, you would like to find a starter there, but a third round pick doesn't have the draft pedigree to be on the field right away. So the logic in taking a corner is this. Obviously, they have maybe the best cornerback in the NFL and Quinnion Mitchell. He's unbelievable. He's everything you could have hoped for in a late first round pick, you know, kind of a reason to hope that at 23, they can find an awesome player in the draft because they've gotten better at that. And we talked about that on yesterday's daily, about how Nick Siriani's really helped them with development.

Cooper DeGine, going to be the nickel corner. We'll talk about him more in a second. And then Tariq Wollen on the outside, $12 million for next year. So on the outside next year, you'll have Quinyan and Tariq Wollen and Cooper Dijin in the slot. That's the plan for 2026. That's what they'll go with. those three players will start and they will never bench Quinyan or Cooper DeGine. But Tariq Willan, we'll get a long rope in terms of owning that starting job. So they are set at corner there. And then they sign Jonathan Jones. He can play both Nicola and the outside. He's a veteran guy. is $2 million dollars guaranteed for him, so he is likely going to make the team. He would have to have a pretty
