This is a world I did not know existed.

Henry's also a molecular biologist,

importantly, he's the Glenswager Distinguished Fellow at the American Council on Science and Health,

working with his colleague, an instructor in microbiology at Cornell University, Kathleen Hefferun, I learned that the bounty of food

that sustains nine to ten billion people right now

depends upon fertilizer.

But fertilizer is a source of greenhouse gases globally.

What is to be done?

We're looking at modifying the soil with non-fertilizer products that have been genetically

engineered to work with the plants.

The one you tell me that is in use right now is for non-Lagoon plants,

legumes being the dominant food source for say South America, but these are non-gloom plants that would be I think corn.
