We got Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, New York, the introduction of Russell Wilson to New York yesterday. New Giants quarterback, Russell Wilson, greeted by his head coach, Brian

Dable. He met the media on his first day on the job in New York. And even though the team

recently signed James Winston, Wilson was asked if he's going to be the starter on day one.

Yeah, I expect to be the starter and come in here and be ready to rock and roll every day.

I think to be able to lead, I think this team's really looking for somebody to lead them in every way in terms of the process, you know, in the offseason, during the season, our habits and our thought process and how we create

a great winning culture and how do we continue to establish that? Every NFL team nowadays

have two to three quarterbacks, usually three nowadays. So obviously right now we have Tommy

DeVito, we have Jameson and myself. We're just excited to get to work. And so the great part

about professional sports is constant change, there's constant movement and everything else. If we draft a quarterback, we'll make sure that he does everything he can to be ready to go and be prepared with his mentality. Obviously, drafting a quarterback could still be on the table. Peter, you just heard from Russell. What's your take on this situation? Yeah, like, yesterday I came on the show and I'm like, there's no sizzle, there's no buzz, but it's better quarterbacks from than last year. I want to take it out. The nick game last night, Russell and CR are sitting at a court side. Like, there was some buzz and there was some action. Russell Wilson, like New York City, I don't know. there's Chris Rock in the foreground. You could see. It's my guy, Maddie Mo Dean in the background. There's Matt Moteen. Hello. We love him in the wrestling film. Vision Quest. Also now on Stranger Things, biggest show in the world. That one is new to me. I live in a Vision Quest world. That said, he gets out there. Like, you're thinking he's going to do the press conference and it's going to be, you know, I'm just here to be to be a team player. He was like, I want to be the starter. He's not looking to mentor rookie necessarily. He will, you know, but it wasn't one of those where it's like, whatever you do, I'm now for him, just happy for the opportunity. Like Russ wants to rock and roll and Russ wants to do this. There was a buzz, and for even a minute, even if it was just yesterday, it was like, okay, that's a quarterback. And I hate to just keep on piling on Daniel Jones that he's no longer here. But at no point was Daniel Jones, like, let's go. I'm the guy. Let's rock and roll. Daniel Jones never had that aura, never had that presence. And whether Russell is the same guy he was in 2017 and 2018 when he was competing for MVP awards and getting the Seahawks through the playoffs, or he's this different version of himself. I think at the very least, there's a presence. And I'll add this. You know, I'm looking at the numbers yesterday because

they were coming in and it's 10.5 million and he can make up to, I think, 15 million with incentives.

And James will make eight. Dach Prescott's going to make $60 million to be the Cowboys quarterback

this year. 60, not 60. 60. Russell Wilson will make 10. So for one sixth of what you're paying Dak Prescott,

you get your starting quarterback.

And I don't know if Dak Prescott is six times the player that Russell Wilson is.

So we'll see.

And go to the giant situation, Rogers, they had to at some point be like,

we're not going to just sit here and wait.

They go on. Rogers is going to likely be either in Pittsburgh or not playing at all. And now you have Russell Wilson a competent quarterback and you still leave the door open for that third overall. I feel a lot better today about it, seeing kind of Russ and hearing Russ and seeing him in New York being well received than I did yesterday where I was like, all right, Russell Wilson, what's next? You know? You know why you feel better is Russ is really good at this? He's really good at this part, and he looks the part, and he looks great, and he's very famous, and for non-football fans, and for football fans, we've been down the road with Russ for years, and you play the Super Bowl thing, and he won at New York.

He's really, really good at that. And he comes in and he has that CEO feel, and he speaks well.
