| 0:24.6 | I hear a lot of chatter. I see it online and people I talk to football about. |
| 0:28.6 | There aren't any really great teams this year or the football is bad. |
| 0:31.6 | The prime time gives you about this is a great team. |
| 0:33.6 | This is maybe the great team. |
| 0:35.6 | If you look over, I'm talking the best team in the NFL. |
| 0:38.3 | You look over in the AFC, there's some teams with some really good records. It's quarterbacks. We don't know if we trust yet. It's Drake May. It's Bo Nix. There's some other ones. In the NFC, it's the same thing. The Bears have a good record. This team not only has a great record. Let's remind ourselves, guys, the two losses, the two Rams losses this year. |
| 0:54.7 | Think back to this season. |
| 0:56.1 | They had the blocked field goal against Philly, where they were lining up to kick the game-winning field goal. They lose to Philly in that way. And then they lost an overtime to the Niners on a Thursday night. Thursday night games are always weird. That's all that's keeping them for perfection. In the meantime, we try to pick apart these teams with good records. They haven't beaten anybody, no quality wins. They've beaten Houston, Indy, Baltimore, Jacksonville, San Fran, Seattle, and Tampa. All those teams matter. All those teams at one point have mattered, will matter, still do matter. All I see when I look at this game yesterday was atrocious. And I respect Tampa, but this was an atrocious game that was never, never, ever in doubt. You just watch this game and the only question you ask is, who's going to beat this team in the NFC playoffs? Who's going to do it? Is it Philly? I mean, they've got all kinds of problems right now. Is it Detroit? I don't know where we are with Detroit. Is it Chicago? Chicago seems to beat everybody, but I look at them and I'm like different weight class. This team looks like a heavy weight. Everybody else looks like maybe a middle weight at the best. And it's just that is our question about the Rams. Will you lose a game in the playoffs? Because we know you're going to be there. It's probably going to go through so far. It's just that it's at a time when we're really starting to look at style points. Who really has it? There's this team. And then not only everybody else in the NFC, everybody else in the NFL, I think the gap between one and two. Whatever happens in this Patriot season, we're not going to look back on the Bengals game when they went to 10 and 2 is a pretty forgettable game except for the Will Campbell injury. |
| 2:22.8 | This is a big deal because not only have the Patriots had very good luck, quote unquote, with injuries this year. |
| 2:28.7 | They haven't been decimated like some other teams have, and Mike Brable is superstitious about talking about it. |
| 2:33.7 | We heard from me in Rappaport earlier in the show that not only did he get carted off, Will Campbell. He did the towel on his head, you know, the towel is when you're hiding your face and hiding your emotions not good. Ian also said that he could be a candidate for IR, so that's four straight weeks. And listen, it's not going to make the tent fall down. This is a very important player, not only for the team, for Drake May. This is his guy. This is the tackle that you need that keeps the quarterback healthy. So if there's any good news, you have a long week and then you play the Giants. And then the craziest thing about the Patriots, they haven't had their buy yet, which is nuts. They've been playing every single week. So if you look at Will Campbell, you get to buy week 14, a complete vacation week. You have the bills and the Ravens after that, two teams that obviously really, really matter, and then Jets and Dolphins. You hope, all right, better now than like in week 17 this happens. He has time to heal. This team is going to the playoffs. |
| 3:25.5 | They want to be having a buy for the playoffs. So imagine they get two buys in week 14 and week 19. The Campbell thing looms large. We're going to be talking about this a lot. But if it's going to happen better now than right before the playoffs, because based on what we're hearing, unless it's just a totally left turn update and he has a really serious injury. |
| 3:43.4 | You would think six weeks from now, seven weeks |
| 3:45.7 | from the playoffs start, they'll have him back. |
| 3:47.2 | And that's what matters. |
| 3:49.0 | Are we ready to let the Chiefs go? |
| 3:51.3 | Is this end of times? |
| 3:53.0 | Is it over? |
| 3:54.2 | It's, let's just put the cards on the table here. |
