Caitlin Clark, new records that are anybody? catch that little Pete Marevich action that she passed? No doubt about it. She's been unbelievable. They had everybody that was there. There was some technical difficulties in Buffalo. They might have missed it, but, Taylor, I was kind of looking back with respect at Pistol Pete. Did it in far fewer games and did it with no three-pointers. It's unbelievable thing. Love Caitlin Clark, but the no three-pointer thing is fascinated. Great Pistol Pete book called Pistol by Mark Kriegel, who I know you both. One of my favorite sports books of all time. Pistol, Mark Creegel. You're always big on making sure you get the records done in the time in which they were set the first. Kyle, you would have been up for this one then because everyone was referring to Frank Gore as no doubt Hall of Famer when they were watching his son of the combine. No doubt. No doubt. That's it. I like Frank Gore. I'm still looking for any person in the NFL media, anyone, to say any player is not a Hall of Famer. Name any player, one person to say, I don't think he's a Hall of Famer. I think I'm the only, including at this table, by the way, I think I'm the only person in media who will go on record as saying anybody is anything else. Put a man. Put him in. Put him in. Caleb Williams, J. and Daniels, Drake, May. They all chose to not work out. So guys like Bo Nix, Michael Pennix Jr. and J.J. McCarthy, it was their time to shine on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium. And at times up in the booth as well. Rich Eisen maybe pulled a Michigan man card and got J.J. McCarthy to come up to the booth and talk with Eisen and DJ about the biggest

criticism that J.J. McCarthy receives in his game.

What do you say to those who are like who look at your body of work at Michigan and go, well,

you didn't have to carry a team,

and obviously you might have to in the NFL.

How do you respond to that? You know, based off the system I was placed in being a pro-style system, we're not dropping back 50 times a game. So just naturally, it's not going to look like the same numbers as guys in the Pack 12 guys in the SEC. but at the end of the day it's all about winning football games and that's all I cared about and you know

Coach Moore had this smash mouth mentality. We obviously had two amazing running backs, an amazing offensive line every single time I was there. And like you said before, we're getting six, seven, eight yards of pop. So why wouldn't we keep doing what's working? You know, it can't go broke, taking a profit. And, you know, at the end of the day, this is another valuable lesson I learned on. You have to rely on the run game. You have to because it sets up everything else. And, you know, it worked for us. And, you know, I was very fortunate to be part of such a special group. Making a case for himself, JJ McCarthy is. other things we learned about the quarterback class at the 2024 scouting Combine, Peter. McCarthy competed, and I love that. And so did Michael Panx, Jr. Those guys competed. Now, JJ's interview there was just part of the whole piece in that he interviewed really well with teams. He comes in, he has dialed in. I mean, this is like, you're talking about a pro's pro as far as saying the right things
