Summary

Part Two of the Good Morning Football Podcast begins with the Super Bowl legacy of Kyle Shanahan.  Hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, and Ryan Leaf discuss the questions surrounding the Niners coaching in this loss.  Peter names his Coach of the Week and we wonder why this candidate isn't getting any head coaching interviews? What other players do you think deserve recognition for their performances?  Plus, what did the table think of the Taylor Swift impact on the Super Bowl?

Ryan, you've had great stories in your time interacting with Patrick Mahomes. It must be so fun for you to watch him play the way that he is and has in the person that he is too. Well, the representation of the NFL, the league. Patrick Mahomes epitomizes that, I feel like. what he does within his community, and he became a part of the community.

Lee Steinberg, who was his agent, who was my agent as well, always institutes when you become an NFL player, especially a quarterback. You make it about your community. And I didn't fully understand that or really grasp what that meant. Of course, I do now. I understand that when you make it about other people, your life gets better. And that's exactly what Patrick has done. He has become part of that Kansas City, Missouri family, okay? And everybody treats him like he's a part of it. And he's not too big for the moment ever. Six years, six championships on the AFC side, now three Super Bowl titles. I always was in awe of Tom Brady when you looked at how many years he played and how many of those years he was playing for championships, and you do the same right now. Six years, three of which he's won championships, four of which he's played for the biggest prize there is. So as a guy who never got a chance to play for something like that at that level, you're in awe of somebody being able to do it and really proud of them. I think that's a weird word for a lot of people to say when you've played in the league and you watch somebody, how can you be proud of somebody that's just so good and everything like that? Well, I am. I think a lot of people are proud of them. Let's see how it happens, Kyle. Patrick Mahomes has won seven straight playoff games.
