We have a question on hand about the gain that happened last night. And the question, I'm going to give a little teaser. When I just asked it to Manseigne the commercial, he goes, definitely. So I'm going to tell you the question in a couple minutes. But first, the Cowboys had a much-needed victory last night. Peter, just seeing what you finally saw on the field, defensively, offensively, doesn't matter. As CD just said, positive vibes in here right now. Does it make you feel differently about this team? It does. And it's a drastic difference, but it's not like I'm saying Super Bowl contender. I just went from, oh, the world is burning and this thing can't go on. They can't, they can't compete this way back to the last two weeks at home. And now it's like, all right, that's the

Cowboys. Like, they're going to find a way to win. They've got Dak freaking Prescott a quarterback. The guy is one of the best in the game. And sometimes you're just going to just rely on sound football and stopping the other team from scoring touchdowns,

and they were able to do it.

The last two weeks, I can't use hyperbole.

I can't exaggerate enough just how bad that defense was. Derek Henry's just running right through them last week, but the week before that, Kamara and the Saints, and then it was completely different last night. And that's what you needed to see. Earlier in the show, Mantae highlighted the great work or the rookie overshone, but this was a group effort. All 11 on defense stepped up, and when Michael went down, it didn't miss a beat, and then when you lost Trvon Diggs because he was dehydrated, Andrew Booth in the other young corner, didn't step that, didn't miss a beat either. So to me, do I feel better? I always felt good about the Cowboys offense. Like, they're going to score points. They're going to find a way.

Like, they're going to score points. They're going to find a way. It was the defense that I thought might have been nuclear level bad. And if that's the case, then they can't compete. Last night, they stopped the Giants from scoring a touchdown. Every time the Giants need to go 10 yards, they let them go eight. Every time the Giants need to go eight yards, they force them to only go six.

That's not going to win a football game. That's not what you want. The Cowboys defense stepped up. And Mike Zimmer, I'll give you flowers where flowers are due. I think for the last three days, a lot of people in the NFL circles are saying, did Zimmer loses fastball? No, that Zimmer defense was excellent last night.

It does leave great questions that if the Giants can't run the ball on that defense, what are they going to do with the rest of the 31 other teams?

Yeah, no, I definitely feel different about the Cowboys, especially their defense, like how Peter was saying.

The rush defense looked a lot better. They're even able to get some heat on Danny Dimes back there at times. I'm going to tell you one thing that I don't feel different about is that turf. What are we doing about MetLife Stadium? No. Like, I don't, I. Interesting. How many injuries do it has to happen at that stadium for us to do something about it? I mean, for us to see Malik neighbors go down from just falling on that turf and having a concussion that way. Like, what are we doing, guys? So I definitely feel differently about the Cowboys defensively. Offensively, I knew that they were going to be dominant. I mean, Dak Prescott leads to the NFL in passing yards, and C.D. Lam is going to be C.D. Lamb. However, with that turf, like, we talk a lot about, you know, player health and safety.

Like, let's, let's do something about that turf so that we can actually do something to help these players when they're playing at that MetLife Stadium. Okay.

Manta, I respect the take from your perspective, former player.

I know that there's been other players who have voiced a similar thing and that that's a conversation that goes on.

Complicated topic, but I respect that you come out here the morning after the game and say that. To the question, I personally don't feel differently about the Cowboys at all, and I mean that is a good thing. You guys know I've picked them to go to the playoffs this year. I think maybe the rest of us on the show did not. We were all on the Eagles. I've always thought that they would,

and this was just to get the train back on the tracks thing. I was not terribly concerned after the one and two start. But I don't feel differently also in the sense that I still just want the same thing from the Cowboys. I want this movie to have a different ending. I want them to go past the divisional round in the playoffs. So I think it's time where I'm out of the season. What I'm going to do right
