There's a lot going on. We have a lot to get to today, and we're going to start with the weather because everyone's thinking about it as they make their New Year's Eve plans.

It could be cold and snowy for many parts of the country. The question you're probably asking, are you going to start the new year in a deep freeze?

You know who has the answers?

She's at the New Year's Eve ball.

Ginger, you have been feeling the cold all day.

You get hazard pay.

I checked with the bosses.

Are we going to have some snow mixed with confetti at midnight tonight?

Oh, we're going to get close to it. It will certainly be cold enough to do it because we're about to have the coldest

New Year's Eve here in Times Square in eight years. And so as this beautiful new crystal ball,

more than 12,000 pounds in all of its glory comes down, we'll be in the mid-20s for wind chills at best.

And so let's go ahead and talk about the rest of the forecast because a lot of people are seeing snow and a lot of it.

Syracuse, New York, more than two feet of snow in one day.

That is their second snowiest one-day total on record.

They broke a lot of records with that one yesterday.

And from Chicago tonight, through Cleveland, over to Pittsburgh, you're going to be seeing snow on the roads.

So be careful as you're headed to some of your plans.

As we go through the midnight hour, that snow comes through, and yes, we could see a few flurries if it breaks through the dry air here.
