And Aaron Kutterski is at a polling place in Queens. Aaron, good afternoon to you. You must be seeing a lot of people out there. Yeah, it's been a pretty good turnout so far, Gio. The polls have been open since 6 o'clock in the morning.

Mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani voted in this very spot a short while ago, saying it is now time for a new day in our politics.

His breakout campaign for Mayor of New York, once seen as a long shot, may now be snowballing its way toward history.

If he's elected, he would be the city's first Muslim mayor, also the first to describe himself as a democratic socialist.

His main rival, Andrew Cuomo, is arguing that socialism has no place in the heart of American capitalism. President Trump

weighing in on the race as well, saying that Cuomo should win because a vote for the Republican

candidate, Curtis Sliwa, is just a vote for Mamdani. Trump is also threatening to withhold federal

funds from the city if Mamdani wins.

These elections today are a year from the midterm, so they're an early test of what the country thinks about President Trump and his agenda,

and also a test guise for the Democratic Party itself, and whether its future looks like Zoran Mamdani or more like moderate Democrats,

like the two women running for governor today in New Jersey and in Virginia. Guys? A lot of implications today for the country's
