We are going to start here with millions of Americans bundling up against bitter cold temperatures. Wind chills below zero in some parts of the Midwest

and the Northeast. Stephanie Ramos is braving it all for us right now. She is just outside New York

City. Hey there, stuff. Hey there, Gio. We're going to see some of the coldest air of the season today with multiple

rounds of Arctic air headed east after battling the Midwest.

A brutal blast of Arctic air fueling heavy snow impacting millions from the Midwest to the

northeast. A massive hundred vehicle pile up stretching for miles on this Michigan Interstate amid

wide out conditions.

It was just like dominoes, bomb, bum, bum, bum.

Officials say nearly 40 tractor trailers were involved in the chain reaction crash,

shutting down Interstate 196 on Monday morning for nearly eight hours.

Drivers say they could barely see the cars in front of them.
