But we're going to begin with the U.S. attack on Venezuela and the latest fallout after the

country's president, Nicholas Maduro, was taken into custody by U.S. forces.

President Trump now says we're in charge of the country.

Senior political correspondent Rachel Scott starts

us off with the latest from the White House. Rachel.

Hey Rebecca, well this has been a remarkable 48 hours and still lots of questions ahead.

Nicholas Maduro and his wife, they woke up in U.S. custody today. They are expected to appear

before a federal judge. Prosecutors say Maduro

and his allies partnered with violent and dangerous drug traffickers in Colombia and Mexico

to move tons of cocaine into the United States. The indictment says he used the profits to secure

loyalty and to stay in power. Maduro, who has long denied these drug allegations, is expected

to plead not guilty and be ordered, held without bail.
