The FTA, as we enter cold and flu season is

announcing a proposal to remove certain ingredients from over-the-counter cough

released a report, a proposal to ban an active ingredient, phenylephyrant and oral

ingredient in these oral decongestants and cold medications because it's found that they

simply don't work. And this is talking about efficacy, not safety.

There's no issue with safety here.

The problem is that looking at the newest data,

comparing it to data from 30 years ago when we confirmed and what led to its use,

it's shown that unfortunately it's just not effective for patients.

And so the FDA is proposing this ban to say,

pull this ingredient out, but we

have to wait until this comes to the full process, obviously. But until then, I think it's

just a word of caution and advisement. Look at the labels on the products that you're using

for your symptoms during this winter season. And also just be mindful, especially if there's
