And a lot of people have joined us right outside our window. We've got a great crowd in Times Square on this Friday morning.

And Michael, you went out and had a little hello this morning.

Got all the great

women's group there from Atlanta and then we have two friends who are here, 85 years old,

and they've been friends since eighth grade. That is adorable. We love that. New York. We've got a busy

morning. How are we going to begin with that wildfire emergency in Southern California? The fire

exploded to more than 20,000 acres. More than 200 homes and buildings have

been damaged or destroyed and thousands of people ordered to evacuate. Chief National correspondent,

Matt Gutman, is in the fire zone in Vittura County Forest. Good morning, Matt.

Hey, good morning, Michael. You almost have to drive through this to get a sense of the scale.

Almost every house in this neighborhood on either side of the street, incinerated within minutes.

And that fire fueled by almost hurricane force winds jumping hillsides over highways, igniting fires miles apart.

In one point, firefighters just gave up on saving homes. They focused solely on saving lives, and it worked.

So far, no reported fatalities. This morning, Ventura

County under a state of emergency as the so-called mountain fire west of Los Angeles exploded in
