It's the great holiday exodus underway.

A record number of people hitting the roads and taking to the skies over the holiday season.

And Victor Okendo starts us off here at the airport in Miami with details.

Victor, hello to you. Hey, Will. Busy is an understatement here at Miami International Airport.

They have their work cut out for them. American Airlines operating its largest winter schedule

on record here at MIA this year. So far, good here today and they say that they are ready for

the travel to really start ramping up. The TSA anticipates screening more than 43 million

passengers between December 19th and January 4th. Today expected to be the busiest for American

6,720 flights scheduled.

That's four flights departing a minute.

Now if you're hitting the roads, AAA says a whopping 109.5 million people will travel by car

this holiday.

That's up 2% from last year.

And this weekend ahead of Christmas, expected to be one of the busiest.

You can expect congestion on interstates.

So the worst times to travel.

This is very important this weekend, Saturday between noon and 8 p.m.

And Sunday between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Another busy travel day to keep in mind,
