Meeh in back! This is hell.

This is not the media. This is hell.

Here in the United States, or at least in the Midwest and Great Lakes

region we have all heard the phrase it's not the heat it's the humidity. Well

it turns out it's both accommodation of the heat and the humidity that is proving to be very deadly, yes, deadly in this era of climate change, especially in places that are near the equator, along shorelines and by

nearby increasingly warmer oceans.

Those areas include south and south of East Asia

as well as places like Saudi Arabia, but that does not mean the U.S. is safe as

anywhere with high temperatures and high humidity can have what is known as the

wet bulb effect including Louisiana, Florida and other places along the Gulf of Mexico.

In the not so far off future, as our guest today points out, this will put Arkansas, Missouri,

and yes, even in places that many in the Midwest may think as safe,

like Iowa, will be at risk. In a few minutes, we will discuss what is already a deadly impact of climate change with
