Summary

Woof. Jim and I really, really wanted to like Glass, the sequel to the terrific Unbreakable and Split. And it should work. Bruce Willis, Samuel Jackson, and Anya Joy Taylor are good, and James McAvoy does more incredible work as the Horde. But the script is just about the laziest damn thing we've ever seen. Tons of plotholes, characters succeeding not because of their brilliance but others' stupidity, and Shyamalan indulging the worst of his third act instincts. It's a genuine disappointment, ya'll.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Shumelion movie and I just watched it recently a couple weeks ago I've got a

0:49.6

a Blu-ray of it and it really holds up in my opinion. And it's quiet, interesting, like this

0:57.7

semi-realistic look at like what a superhero mythos might look like if you

1:02.0

stripped away all the Marvel and DC bullshit and the spandex.

1:07.0

So then in Night Shemel line kind of had his fall from Grace and then he kind of worked his way

1:12.2

back with a series of kind of like you know horror films and that led up to the movie Split

1:17.0

Which you and I saw trailers for in the movie and we both thought this fucking looks ridiculous right sure yeah I mean all the

1:25.6

voices it seemed like it was a recipe for overacting yes and I had heard that that movie was actually surprisingly good and since we knew we were going to go see Mr. Glass and or glass rather and I thought that maybe this movie had been back-doored into being like a stealth prequel or a stealth

1:45.4

sequel or something. So I finally watched a movie a couple months ago, no, I got a couple weeks ago,

1:51.6

and I was blown away. I couldn't believe how good that movie was.

1:55.4

Yeah I watched it a couple of nights ago and prep for this movie and I had the same opinion I thought

2:01.0

it actually wasn't over-acted James McAvoy did an amazing job.

2:05.0

The plot was actually pretty cool. The concept was way better than I expected.

2:10.0

And so yeah, I came away from that movie going, all right, I am psyched to see glass because I love the first two in this series.
