I was planning on

leaving Saturday for an eight-day backpacking trip in the Washington

Cascades with a really good friend and my partner

broke his ankle yesterday, water skiing and he might need surgery and he needs me.

And I'm really working on trying to grapple with that balance,

like balance that feeling of disappointment

and also, you know, wanting to help out my partner.
