This is a special edition of the Radio Free Hillsdale Hour as we celebrate Thanksgiving.

And for this episode, I'm joined by Bill Gray,

Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hillsdale College.

Bill, thanks a much for being alongside today.

It's great to be back with you, Scott.

We had a chance to do this last year.

I've been looking forward to doing it again this year. You've got a new title since last year.

I do. Last year, vice president of marketing and this year, vice president for institutional advancement

in common language. Tell people what that new role means you do. Sure. Yeah. So vice president for institutional advancement,

advancement means advancing the goals and the mission of the institution. So my job is to talk to

and invite people to support the college. I do that one-on-one with donors, with potential donors,

and then I do that at scale through efforts like this,

through emails that get sent out. And so you can call it Vice President for fundraising,

but that doesn't sound as highfalutin, I guess. And so, yeah, I've moving over to

advancements over the past year or so, and it's been a really fun transition for me.
