Everyone loves a good story and a good storyteller.

But there is no storyteller like the Lord Jesus,

and there are no greater stories told than the ones Jesus shared.

In this study, spiritual stories, we consider the parables Jesus told and their

application to us. These are truly the greatest stories ever told, and the Lord has something

How many times we have said, this is the year. This is the year we're going to pay off that debt.

This is the year we're going to start exercising, lose weight.

You fill in the blank. What's the goal? We say year after

year, this is the year. Well, the Lord Jesus gave a parable in Luke chapter number 13 to a group

of people that, frankly, he had given a lot of room to, and for years he had given them truth,

and they had not responded.

And it gives a very sobering story to them to basically say,

look, I'm giving you just a little window, a little room to repent,

a little time to get this right.

And if you don't, judgment is coming.

Listen to the story in Luke chapter chapter 13 beginning in verse number six the bible says he spake also this parable now if you have your

bible open in front of you you'll see in the previous verses he has addressed some current

events i think that's really interesting because remember these stories, though they

are just stories, are connected to real life. And so there had been some tragedies. A tower in

Salome had fallen and a number of people had died. There was a group of people in Galilee who had
