And today was a bad day for Rudy Giuliani.

jury deliberations began today in Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss's civil defamation suit against

Giuliani, which started on Monday.

The two women are seeking 47 million dollars in damages for the

torrent of abuse and threats of violence that they say Rudy Giuliani brought on

them with his lies in the aftermath of Donald Trump's defeat in the

2020 election.

After promising Monday that he would take the stand and testify in his own defense in the

lawsuit brought against him by the two at lead election workers, he apparently

had a change of heart.

It's also possible that Giuliani's legal team decided that putting him on the stand

would be a disaster after he said this

outside the courthouse on Monday.

Whatever happened to them which is it's unfortunate for other people overreaction

but everything I said about them is true.

Those remarks led the judge, Beryl Howell, to suggest that Rudy Giuliani might have defamed the two defendants again.

She also asked Giuliani's attorney, quote, if he was concerned about his client's age and mental capacity issues,

Giuliani's attorney said he had not seen evidence of that yet. The word yet is worth noting here and so because Rudy Giuliani never took the stand in the case video clips like these are the only comments the jury heard from him in the courtroom.
