Welcome back to the Lantern Ruc Cycling Podcast, the recap of Stage 5 and the early week of the

Giro d'It Italia Donner. We have had controversy, drama, and an absolutely cracking mountain

stage today. I really, really enjoyed it, actually watching it here. And there's been a couple

of sprints that have been, you know, yeah, I wonder if I do miswitnessing greatness, actually. Now I'm reconsidering my whole life up to this day, but we'll start with stage one. So we basically had three sprints to start. You know, we all thought this was going to be Lorena Vibba's cleanup job. It was Lorraine of Vibba's cleanup job. She won stage one on the road by like,

well, according to the team, three bike lengths. Something's happened then after Benji.

Since we covered the podcast, start of the podcast, this has never happened at least in a world to a

level race. Yeah, that's fair. Lorina Weebus was disqualified despite being the leader, despite being the Malia Rosa, which,

to be clear, want to start off with, I think it's very good that rules are applied to everybody,

including the Malia Rosa.

The closest we got to this actually was when Pogacar was threatened to be disqualified,

because he had the wrong color of shorts, remember?

Well, he should have been, yeah.

But on a serious note, we just got this qualified in this fast stage after the race happened.

And it was a bit later as well.

We got a declaration on social media thing by the Giro di Italia, but also by tutobici first where article two 12007 basically prohibits using a bike that does not comply with equipment regulations and

the reference there is because we was according to the uci using a bike with a with a weight under

6.8 kilos and the minimum weight requirement for a bicycle

in a cycling raise and UCI raises 6.8 kilos. So that's a problem. Now, I was wondering directly,

Patrick, how many grams? Are we talking? She's riding a 6 kilo bike. Yeah, she's like a 5.5

kilo like weight weenies for them.

We all find out Lorena Vibers or the Mechanica SDWorks Pro Times actually weight winnie's

for them degenerate.
