Welcome back to the Lanternroof Cycling Podcast, long time, no speak, I don't know what Benji's been up to, I don't know what I've been up to, but we're back with the Giro D'Artagnan, Root Reveal, they've got it right. I feel like the Giro, they eventually do take on feedback, both with the parkour, the transfers, the sequencing of stages, but also when they announce the whole damn thing because now they jump the gun and get in about a week and a half before the tour to France and yeah everyone's ready to see see the route and it's I don't mind it actually the 107th edition

before I get into the headline the headline numbers Benji in 10 seconds your first reaction before you went through all the profiles your first reaction.

0:47.0

My first reaction was that the parkour didn't inspire me to hype up before the race. That makes sense?

0:54.0

So you were a bit like, hmm, not sure about this.

0:57.0

Exactly. That's exactly the take I had.

1:00.0

Yeah, I agree and I got into it a bit more in-depth this morning when the proper profiles came out because the RCS ones are like if I hand drew them.

1:10.0

sprinter, maybe even eight, Two time trials though is the headline I think,

1:26.3

totaling 68.2 kilometers. That is a flashing light.

1:31.4

Pagacha.

1:32.4

Yeah, Primos, Remko, please come to our race. Great Thomas, please come to our race because

1:38.8

the Tour de France and ASO, they don't look after you with the TTKs, so nearly 70 K's of TT, most of which is a flat.

1:46.0

Five mountain stages, I counted more.

1:49.3

Four uphill finishes.

1:50.8

Eight undulating stages according to RCS from the 4th to the 26th of May, less climbing

1:57.5

I think than last year and definitely I haven't looked at the stats. The stages seem significantly shorter to me.

2:06.0

It starts in Piedmont, in Turin, and then stuff about the Grand Turino. Trna tragedy, but yeah, it then finishes in Rome.

2:15.0

They go south from Turin after touching the Arupper climb

2:19.0

through the Abruzzo, through a practicalityo, down to Napoli which keeps getting stage finishes and then

2:27.0

back up the eastern side of the Italian coast with some sprint stages before lots of climbs in the in the Dolomites region in Lavinia which will be

2:36.7

familiar to others and also in the Udne region which is where Jonathan Milan is from and
