Ginger and Nutmeg

Once upon a time there was a cozy little village shop.

It was all warm wood and clean glass, very relaxed and inviting.

And the name over the window was Ginger and Nutmeg.

It was a small little shop, just the right size for toys.

All of the dolls and action figures came together and bought their groceries at Ginger and Nutmeg.

It was also popular with animals. The counter inside was a convenient height for rabbits.

Ginger and Nutmeg sold carrots and tomatoes and red-spotted handkerchiefs for a few pennies.

And you know rabbits can't resist carrots and tomatoes and handkerchiefs.

Of course, the store also sold sugar and salt and great clumpy rain boots.

In fact, although it was such a small shop, it sold nearly everything.

Especially things you'd want in a hurry, like bootlaces, hair pins and peanut butter and jelly.

The shop was called Ginger and Nutmeg because Ginger and Nutmeg were the ones who kept the shop.

Ginger was a yellow-orange Tomcat and Nutmeg was a feisty, terrier dog.
