So at this point in the season things are really

heating up temperatures are at peak heat music festivals are happening the team of mosquitoes in

my backyard is slowly but surely successfully executing my takedown hot back summer is well underway

which means two things one is that our faithful host,

Felix Contreras, has abandoned the Alt Latino virtual headquarters to bask in some well-deserved

sunshine. Not sure if he's ever coming back, we wouldn't hold it against him. And two,

the judging of our annual Tiny Desk contest will soon be coming to a close.

We saw a ton of amazing entries pour in from across the Latino community and wanted to take

some time and space on our show to highlight them. So, while Felix is off lounging in his

sun hat, smoking cigars, and listening to what I imagine is a lot of Grateful Dead,

we've invited a very special artist and seasoned Alt Latino guest to steal the show and share some of her favorite Tiny Desk contest entries.
