Hey, everybody, welcome back to the podcast. I'm going to start today by going behind the scenes

a little bit. Usually we post this on Thursdays, which means I usually record with guys

earlier in the week and try to find a time that works for them. And this week, I sat down with

Chris Stratton on Tuesday. He was coming off a shutout, a really good performance

for the Giants, a very encouraging performance for him and something that I think he was looking

to build off. And then he went out Wednesday and had a rough one. He did have a double that cleared

the basis, but then gave it five runs and really one of his rougher starts of the year. So it was

kind of odd timing, I think.

But we were coming off the shutout when I talked to him, so we discussed some of that.

Just wanted to let you guys know if you listen and wonder about the timing there.

But it is what it is.

That's how this goes.

And it's happened with guys before.

It will happen again.

And Chris, luckily the thing about baseball,

he'll be back out there again. He will have another shot next week to face the Padres again and try to finish

his season on a high note. And I do think even though there were some ups and downs as he talks about

here, another good season for him. And another season that I think puts him in the Giants plans going forward
