The 1982, Ray's 1982 Reagan's America. A typical white middle class all American family sleep soundly in their beds.

As the TV which has been left on ends its daily

broadcast. But little do this family know that their perfect suburban existence is about to be

threatened by something else inside their house. Something angry, vengeful, something that doesn't want to be forgotten.

With the huge success of haunted house movies like Ameterville and The Changeling,

some of the other big American genre directors like Spielberg, Toby Hooper and

John Carpenter were able to make their own spins on the genre.

Ones that took on the old traditions of campfire ghost stories of writers like Edgar

Al and Poe, but added in popular horror tropes of the times such as

Grizzly Gore, practical effects, and commentary on modern American society.
