The 2013, a mother is at home with her kids and decides to play a game of hide and clap.

stripped back nostalgic haunted house movie.

The film set in the 1970s and based on real life ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren,

not only worked as a clever throwback to 70s movies such as Amateurville and The Changeling,

it also had a ghost train ride feel to it,

one that appealed to teenagers who turned up in cinemas in their droves

and encouraged the kind of loud, raucous behavior in cinemas that was made popular by 50s filmmakers such as
