Summary

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!

The Brown Grand Theater in Concordia, Kansas, is known for its dazzling performances—and we’re not just talking about the actors on stage. Commissioned by Colonel Napoleon Bonaparte Brown in 1907 and completed by his son, Earl, the historic theater has seen its share of drama... and not all of it human. From a phantom perfume believed to be Gertrude's to Earl himself reportedly running the show from beyond, the Brown Grand has a cast of spirits that refuse to leave the stage. Oh, and don’t forget the man in the boiler room or the little girl in the blue dress, just waiting for their next act. Join us on The Grave Talks as we chat with theater director Melissa Swenson and paranormal investigator Tonya Merrill about the spectral performances at the Brown Grand. This is Part Two of our conversation.

Tanya, what kind of evidence have you collected throughout your

0:18.0

investigations there.

0:20.0

Predominantly what we've got are photographic anomalies what we like to call

0:25.1

photographic anomalies. I often invite our guests to take as many pictures

0:29.8

inside the theater as they want because that's half the fun.

0:33.2

I mean for some folks this is this huge community

0:35.8

landmark that they've grown up with, you know,

0:37.7

that they've seen their whole lives,

0:39.5

but they've never actually had the opportunity

0:41.8

to kind of prowl around, you know, go back stage, look at these things, you know, take your picture if you want to pretend your famous stand on stage and have somebody take your picture and do this and make this here an experience.

0:52.3

So we often invite our guests to go ahead and

0:54.5

you know take those photographs, take as many as they want and we often on tours

0:59.0

will get some interesting photographic anomalies. Usually I ask them to take several at a time when they're taking photos that don't include them

1:05.6

so that we can look at if there's any changes.

1:08.4

So we've got some lovely evidence of light orbs kind of moving through the downstairs through the main

1:13.6

part of the theater in that main in that main sort of gallery area. We've gotten a lot of

1:19.6

what we call EMF or or PK for those who sort of know it under that term hits and that some things in the theater read or show an electronic field that don't seem like they should. They don't have any electronic parts or moving parts and yet they give off this electronic

1:33.4

field which indicates that something is going on it can indicate other things but in

1:37.9

this case because there are no other things when we take our base reading

1:41.0

suggests that it may be ghostly activity. We also have taken a number of
