Summary

The King Opera House in Van Buren, Arkansas, isn’t just a beautiful relic of the past—it’s a living, breathing theater with a haunted history unlike any other. Today, Gavin Webb joins us to talk about his paranormal documentary that dives deep into the legends and lore of this 133-year-old opera house. From ghostly apparitions in 1920s clothing to a lady in white wandering the men’s restroom, the spirits said to haunt this historic space are as numerous as they are mysterious. But perhaps the most tragic spirit of all is an actor, reportedly killed by a furious father who suspected him of bad intentions with his daughter. Gavin shares behind-the-scenes stories, eerie encounters, and what they uncovered while investigating one of Arkansas’s most haunted buildings. Is the King Opera House truly haunted—or does it just know how to put on a hell of a show? This is Part Two of our conversation.

0:52.5

We just like we started filming and it just didn't fill right.

Like something was off. So we canceled the whole production after like putting all this money into it.

1:02.3

We canceled it. I returned everything. And instead of me like kind of like being sad and dreading that, you know, I just failed.

1:10.3

I was like, let's go back

1:12.0

film. It kind of just snowballed from there. I was like, you know, I really miss it. You know,

1:33.3

maybe, maybe this is my calling to jump back into the documentary, uh, segments and the paranormal.

1:40.1

So that's kind of where it like snowballed. I I was like, okay, let's work on another project.

1:46.0

And originally it was just going to be another like one location documentary,

1:49.9

but we kind of got ahead of ourselves and made the next project, which is a series.

1:57.1

How did that come about then to do The Haunted Arkansas?

2:01.2

It came about because I remember my mom mentioning this location that we live by,
