Welcome back. This is the Big Blue Banter, New York Giants Football Podcast. I'm Dan Schneier,

joined as always my co-host, Nick Falado. Tonight we're going to break down the recent news

for the Giants. There's been a lot of news happening despite the NFL season only being a

couple days old, despite the fact that it was Black Monday, but that didn't really affect any

giants per se. But yet, a lot of movement has gone down as far as movement toward what we

will see from this Giants franchise in 2021. So let's start with the big news, the news that dropped first.

And that was two reports.

It's still not confirmation, but reports from Paul Schwartz from the New York Post.

And at this point, I do believe that given what's happened to the Giants beat,

with Garifolo moving off of it, with players being less open with reporters in my mind.

The reporters don't travel with them on the bus anymore like they used to back in the

70s and 80s.

It's really a more closed situation as far as getting scoops.

But Schwartz has gotten a lot of scoops.

He has someone in with the Giants.

So when Paul Schwartz reports things, that actually grabs my attention.

And then when Ralph Aguiano reports things, it's another guy, old school guy, has been on the

beat for a while, still probably has some sources within the building.

And both of them came out and said Dave Gettlement will be back with the Giants for the

2021 season.
