Happy New Year folks. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and probably you're getting ready to go back to work as this cast is being released on January 4th.

As you may have figured out, we have a tradition here at Manator Tools if you've

been listening to the cast that we released over the holidays of re-releasing our

setting goals series of casts over the break.

Many, many people take quiet time around the holidays

to think about the coming year and set goals.

For those of you attending our M conference, we had a great presentation

the other day from Dan McGuire talking about how to do an executive level reset.

And this week, this cast, we're going to share one of my very favorite casts

that addresses the problems that many managers have that their bosses don't tell them what their responsibilities are.

So this cast is called getting your goals from your boss and we're going to tell you how to prepare

for the meeting when your boss is not giving you the guidance you need and to be

clear you can't walk in bare-handed you've got to have done some advanced work and made some educated

guesses. And regardless of whether your boss is willing to give you goals or not,

either you'll start an iterative process with her or you'll

end up with goals that he can bless even if he didn't come up with him. So again, happy new year.
