0:21.7

The P.B.P. Voices of Baseball. I bring you the people who bring you the game, listen on the Odyssey app, or wherever you get your podcasts.

0:30.3

I'm also going to get this out of the way because while watching the P.B.A. championship or reading on the P.B.A. championship, you've probably heard or have seen this name.

It's Andrew Green. Who is Andrew Green, you might ask. Well, if you're familiar with Oak Hill, Oak Hill has gone under major reconstruction and they have tried to make the golf course look as if it did originally when Donald Ross designed it like the early 20s, I believe it is.

0:59.0

But Andrew Green is the architect who began the remodel of Oak Hill's East Course in 2019.

1:06.8

Like I said, he had the goal of restoring it to the original Donald Ross design and people are raving about the golf course this week and they're saying he succeeded and then some.

1:16.4

So people are loving it, are loving, loving, loving the changes to Oak Hill.

1:22.2

If you're curious what the changes are, it's not simple. Green remodeled every single green complex fairway and landing zone and his team removed thousands of trees with the goal of opening up sightlines and giving players more options off the tea.

1:39.8

This is coming from golf digest calm. They continue to say that the bunker and will be a huge factor this week as green deep and steep and many of the bunkers to the point where it could be tough to advance the ball.

1:51.7

All the way to the green at the player finds their way into one of these bunkers off the tea was also of course length into challenge the modern tour pro who hits it a country mile quote unquote.

2:03.1

This is a lot to take in. I believe the course is being played just under 7400 yards so it is nothing crazy for these PGA pros also don't forget this is not a USGA event. This is a PGA event meaning when you're watching this tournament on Thursday Friday.

2:20.6

Hopefully Saturday and Sunday you're going to see local PGA tour pros competing in this. I don't know if you're a big golf fan like I am, but on golf channel they ran the PGA of America championship where these guys got to compete for this opportunity to then play.

2:36.6

So that is absolutely awesome, which is a little different than US Open where you or I could go and qualify if our handicaps are under three and fit under those qualification settings, but this is actually really, really cool.

2:50.2

So when you hear you know your pro at your local golf shop doesn't mean that they're a PGA tour pro there golf teaching professional. I absolutely love that this is going to happen and know you will not see answers in this field either.

3:04.7

As it is only pros.
