Good morning and welcome back to football season.

Welcome back to Zach Jackson and friends.

I am Zach Jackson and the countdown to the NFL season is on.

So high school and college football have been underway.

I do want to talk a little bit about some of the college quarterbacks and impressions and those things.

But I want to talk a lot about Sunday on the lakefront, the Bengals and the Browns, a fascinating game, a hugely important game for both teams, but mostly for the Cleveland Browns.

And if you're listening, you probably care more about the Cleveland Browns.

So going to go a lot of places, this is going to be a lengthy podcast. It's going to be the first

of at least a couple this week as we get ready. So after I go through some thoughts here and some

scheduling things, we are going to talk with Paul Dainer, who's my colleague at the Athletic, my longtime friend. In Cincinnati, we did a collab pod. He's on the growler. This is obviously Zach Jackson and friends. So we talked about the game, kind of broke down how we see it, some of the key matchups in all of those things. And then at the end of this pod, I have an interview that I did with my friend

Jason Depke. He's got a company called Intelligent DFS. And I will talk a little more about that.

So I wanted to make sure that got out here for those of you guys who are loading up for football

season. We had TA on a few weeks ago and talked to NFL futures and survivor pools and all of those things. I know you guys are out there. I know you're into it. So I'm going to bring on Jay to talk DFS. Wanted to do one before. It was definitely planning on taking Labor Day weekend off as we kind of settle in. And I had to do some of my stuff here. Didn't have internet for most of Tuesday, had a bad attitude, have a little infection I've been dealing with.

I'm fine.

I'm fresh.

I'm ready to go.

As soon as I finish recording here, I'm headed to Berea for the first Wednesday, the first regular season week.

Most NFL regular season weeks start on Wednesday is we get ready to go. So how much

excitement really is there? You turn on the radio and people are talking about next year's draft,

right? That's the state of the Browns. That's the reality of the situation. Do I think that Kevin

Stefansky and his staff and Joe Flacco and Joel

Betonio and these guys, do I think that they have any thoughts of losing or tanking in mind? No.
