My name is Will DeFries and this is a Sunday Scariest Podcast, your cure for the Sunday Blues.

This week we're going to dive into some list of questions.

0:18.4

Let's get right into it.

0:20.0

The first, what's your go-to deli sandwich order?

0:23.0

I love this question mainly because for a large part of my life and even now, sandwiches remain one of my absolute favorite foods.

0:30.0

I rarely make them at home anymore because the more I do, the kind of fatter I feel with how much bread I'm taking in,

0:35.5

but I will never turn down a great deli sandwich.

0:39.0

I don't really have a staple order, but I have three different orders that I'll rotate depending on where I am,

0:44.0

what I'm craving, or just kind of what the offering is wherever I may be.

0:48.0

The first one is always stemming from my childhood.

0:51.0

There's a place called Gurneys in Harbor Springs, Michigan, my hometown, and they have some of the best sandwiches I've ever had, if not the best.

0:59.0

My staple order there is turkey on white with lettuce, onion, mayo, black pepper, colby cheese, and a pickle spear.

1:06.0

I ordered it so many times as a kid that they even started remembering it and just handing me a sandwich when I'd walk up to the counter.

1:12.0

It was absolutely phenomenal.

1:14.0

The next is a sandwich that I've also eaten my entire life and one that I eat more in Austin because there's a restaurant that has a very good one,

1:21.0

but it's ham on sourdough with spicy mustard, onions, and sprouts.

1:26.0

I absolutely love ham.

1:28.0

I love sourdough and I love spicy mustard.

1:30.0

All of them together, I could pretty much eat it every day if I, you know, wouldn't get fat.

1:34.0

Like I said, and then the final one is roast beef on rye with mayo, horse radish, and onion.

1:40.0

There's just something about the kick of the horse radish with the onion and everything else. It just works.

1:47.0

But yeah, I don't want to go all Joey Tribionne on you right now, but I absolutely love sandwiches.
