And today we are rewinding back to July the 31st, 2018, originally episode 2261,

getting kids excited about prepping and learning.

This is another one of those, kind of like the, the flashback episode to

my childhood, one of these really big time, favorite all-time fan episodes. Like, you guys

have told me over and over again. Every once in all I get an email about this, you know,

years later. This is done in 2018, so we're going back, what, seven years. And I'm going to

eat a random email. I just listened to this episode, and it was so good. And so this is

what I think I've actually done this as a rewind before, but it seemed like it would fit well for

this. And honestly, fried brain put out, you know, eight of these in one day. I was just, I'm like, yeah, people like that one.

So if you heard it before or more than once, it probably couldn't hurt to hear it again.

We really do want to restore real learning to children.

And if you enjoy the episode that I did on my childhood, then you should like this too because it's basically saying let's set things up, maybe a little bit more guide rails than we had in the 80s because it was kind of crazy. It's kind of Lord of the Flies. But can we at least get some of that back because we clearly overcorrected.

And in this episode, I put together an image, a graphic for it.

And, you know, most graphics, you put an image on like a meme or something,

is pretty short.

This one was actually written pretty long.

But this was my own words, and I'd like to read them for you here at the beginning of this episode.

If you want a child who will grow into a resilient adult, let them have adventures.

Let them play in the forest.
