What's going on guys? Today we're talking about question number 19, which is, is there any way to escape punishment and be brought back into God's favor?

The answer is yes.

To satisfy his justice, God himself out of mere mercy, reconciles us to himself and delivers us from sin and from punishment from sin by a redeemer.

Here's the verse that it gives. It's Isaiah 53 10 through 11. And as you listen to this, I want you to think about

how the only way to escape punishment from God, which is his just punishment because he's a just judge.

I mean, what kind of judge would just let a murderer off right there in front of his innocent family, the family that he, the family of the victim? You know, what kind of judge would do that? To just excuse sin is not only wrong, it's also a heinous act towards those who are the innocent party.

Look at all the innocent people who in situ- I mean, no one's completely innocent,

but there's situations where someone is innocent.

And the person that's in the wrong, if the judge or the police officer or whoever is inflicting punishment upon them,

if they just let them go, what does that say to the innocent person? It's not right. Let's read it.

Isaiah chapter 53, 10 through 11. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him. He has put him to grief. When his soul

shall prosper in his hand. And out of anguish of his soul, he shall see and be satisfied. By his knowledge, shall the righteous

So this is like a little prophecy about the Lord and how he is going to make those who trust in him righteous

and that it was the will of God to crush him. Not that the father is this wicked father

who just wants to inflict pain unto his child, but because he loved us so much, he sends Jesus to take the place of our sin.

And Jesus is on board with that will.
