March 1999, promoted to BC, covered citywide
January 2000, assigned to Battalion 16
September 13, 2001 designated as WTC Search and Rescue Manager as well as Chief of Special Operations
June 2003, promoted to Deputy Chief- remained in SOC
August 2004, promoted to Deputy Assistant Chief, Chief of Special Operations, Citywide Command Chief and Retired 2007
He was at Flight 5050 crash at LaGuardia, which he says was one of his toughest nights on the FDNY. He has written several books as well as his newest "Working With Giants" which we will discuss.
