Our special guest will be retired Chicago FD Deputy District Chief Steve Chikerotis. He was appointed in 1979 – Entered CFD - 4-months in the fire academy and was then assigned to Engine 93. In 1981 Transferred to Squad 2. In 1989 Promoted to Lieutenant. 1990 assigned to Squad 2 and was the Technical Advisor to the Movie “Backdraft”. In 1996 Promoted to Captain 2nd District Relief. 1997 became Commander of Fire Academy Operations. 1998 was Promoted to Battalion Chief and was Assistant Director of Training. 2001 assigned Battalion Chief of B - 22. 2007 he was Promoted to Deputy District Chief Citywide Relief. 2009 – 2014 Deputy District Chief / District 1 (7-Battalions) ***2012 – Present / Consulting Producer NBC “Chicago Fire”. Retired November 14, 2014
