He got appointed to the job in 1968, and after Proby School was assigned to 23 Truck in Harlem. He transferred to Ladder 131 in 1973. He worked in Battalion 48 and 21 before finishing out his career at the FDNY press office in headquarters. He retired in 1997. He spends alot of his time now on Tic Toc 🥴 and writing books. His newest book is called “It started with a helmet”. Looks like Kubes might have to get his pipe out for this one 😎. You don’t want to miss this one.
