GETTIN' SALTY EXPERIENCE PODCAST Ep.137 PART III - LIVE April 13th at 8pm on our YouTube Channel. Our special guest will be 82 year old and 34 year FDNY veteran Rescue 5 Lt. Mike Barone. He was assigned to proby school in 1962 and was assigned to Engine 18. In 1967 he transferred to Squad 5 and then again to Ladder 18 in 1968 until 1981. He transferred to Ladder 85 in 1982 until moving over to Rescue 5 in 1984. In 1990 he was promoted to Lt. and assigned to Ladder 3. He moved back to Staten Island going to Ladder 80 in 1991. He made it back to Rescue 5 in 1994 and stayed there until his retirement in 1996. He was at the 23rd street fire in 1966, was at an actual scaling ladder rescue, worked the night of the Blackout in 1977 and has many more incredible stories. You don’t want to miss this one.
