Our special guest will be 38 year FDNY veteran Assistant Chief Tom Galvin.
He was Appointed to FDNY Proby School in Oct. 1978 ..and in Nov. 1978 was Assigned to Eng. 234 in Brooklyn.
In Spring 1982; Transferred to Lad. 123 across the floor. On August 20, 1984 he was Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Bn16 / 5th Division and went UFO in 4 Truck. In Aug. 1987; Promoted to Captain, and in May 1989 was assigned to 4 Truck. In April 1991 he was promoted to Battalion Chief and assigned to Battalion 38. In Oct 1993 he was assigned to Battalion 44. In March 1999..he was promoted to Deputy Chief in Division 11. In Jan 1999, he was assigned to Div 3 Manhattan. He was one of the first to respond to WTC. Promoted to Deputy Assisant Chief in Spring of 2002. He was instrumental in creating the FDNY IMT and in 2004 became the Chief of training. In 2010 Promoted to Assistant Chief and retired in 2015. He operated at the scene in the early stages of 9/11 and Deutsche Bank fire. He is one of the most influential men when it comes to the traing past and present of FDNY members (It is too much to list). We are truly honored to have this man on our show.
