DJ, Jay Shalai.

Jay went from buying her first DJ controller in 2016

to spinning tracks for sold out NFL and WMBA crowds.

As the first ever front-facing DJ for the Atlanta Dream

and a former Game Day DJ for the Atlanta Falcons,

she's not just playing music.

She's creating the energy that makes people feel alive

story. Take it away. So my name is Jay Shalay. I am an international award- DJ, MC, content creator, music producer, all the good things.

I'm originally from Rijksburg, Germany, but I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia.

So music is obviously a very big part of your life.

When did you first fall in love with music?

So going back to Germany, I love to tell the story because it's very unique, I feel.

But in Germany, the recorder is a very well-respected instrument.

I took lessons.

That's actually the instrument I learned how to read music on.

I believe I was around five or six when I first started playing that.
