I'm your host, Paloma, and today we're talking to artist, illustrator, and entrepreneur, Angie Chua.

Hi, Angie.

Can you please introduce yourself to our listeners?

Hi, everyone.

I am Angie Chua.

I'm the founder, heart and soul of Bobo Design Studio.

And I design and create travel and styled stationary.

That gets people to explore the world around them and express themselves in an analog way.

And I have a retail store in Palm Springs called Bobo Palm Springs. It's a stationary boutique

store in the beautiful desert of Palm Springs, California. Thanks for being here. How did you first

fall in love with art? I didn't do well in school. I just struggled a lot. And I think art was the

thing that really saved me. It gave me a sense of purpose. It gave me a voice. It was something that I

felt really good about. It was something that I actually got good feedback for my teachers. It was the one thing

I always wanted to do. and I think teachers recognized that.

What's an emotion that always makes you want to pick up a pen and draw?

So two major ways that get me drawing and get me doodling. The first one is happiness and humor.

I'm always inspired by stuff that's really funny, things that my dog does, things that my friends say,

and that really opens up a lot of possibilities of what I can draw and continue to
