We have almost reached the end of yet another disastrous week for the government, and yet they would have us believe that they intend to stagger on attempting to run this country

until next October. Personally, I just can't see that happening. On top of all the terrible shenanigans

the Rwanda vote on Tuesday, on top of the lowest popularity rating he's ever had,

and just ahead of Christmas, Ritchie Sunak has been had in yet another problem,

as yet another Tory MP is facing suspension after being busted by the Times

for offering to leak confidential information and lobby ministers for cash.

Scott Benton, who has already had the whip removed, could be suspended for 35 days,

for appearing to be corrupt and for being an MP for sale.

And that could trigger yet another by-election.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has been boasting again. Today, he discovered that England has

jumped up the rankings in the maths department, having been languishing at 27th in the world

back in 2009. We are now proudly 11th. Hardly anything to shout about, but this is what he's

reduced to claiming credit for. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the government, Lord Cameron has also been busy today.
