Hello everyone, welcome to episode four in our series Key Battles of World War One.

In the previous episode we looked at our first battle, the Battle of Tannenberg,

and saw that although Germany faced unexpected resistance on the Eastern Front with Russia,

they were able to handle the threat. This is maybe the high point World War One for Germany and we're only a few months into it.

So things aren't going to be going well for them, but really anyone else as we go along.

We're going to be shifting from Eastern Front to the Western Front in this episode.

Each of these plans unravel fairly quickly. And something I want to mention before we get too far into this is that
